Qognify to make Security Essen debut by showcasing PSIM, VMS and video analytics solutions alongside new packaged services

Qognify makes its debut at Security Essen next month by showcasing the company’s award-winning portfolio of technology solutions designed to mitigate risks, maintain business continuity and optimise operations for organisations and infrastructures throughout Europe and around the world.

In Hall 7 on Stand 7E33, Qognify will present its Situator PSIM solution alongside the Operational Intelligence Center module and the new Situator mobile app, the award-winning VisionHub VMS and the real-time video analytics solution designated SuspectSearch.

Security Essen takes place at MESSE Frankfurt in Germany from 2528 September.  Qognify will highlight why the company’s technology is trusted, relied upon and proven throughout Europe by large rail operators including AeroExpress (in Russia), Network Rail (here in the UK) and ProRail (Netherlands) and major international airports – among them Avinor Airport in Norway and Gatwick Airport in the UK.

Critical infrastructure and Government GSOCs drive CNL Software’s IPSecurityCenter V5.7 PSIM

CNL Software, the Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) system software specialist, has announced the release of IPSecurityCenter V5.7. This latest release includes many feature enhancements that increase performance and reduce operational response times in large-scale, multi-sited and mission-critical deployments of IPSecurityCenter and will benefit those in the transportation, corporate security and public safety markets.

According to CNL, IPSecurityCenter leads the Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) market for PSIM. This latest release improves CNL Software’s ability to manage across multiple Security Operations Centres (SOCs) and GSOCs, keeping the entire operation in harmony using enterprise wide visualisation to support the overall security mission for critical infrastructure and large-scale Government security programmes.

Harper Chalice’s systems now integrate with ISM’s Genesys PSIM solution

Harper Chalice has announced that its range of perimeter security systems are now able to fully integrate with the Genesys Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) manufactured by Intergrated Security Manufacturing (ISM).

Genesys is the culmination of thousands of man-hours, engineering excellence and patent-approved application. It’s a fully-integrated PSIM system capable of integrating multiple solutions. Interoperability is enabled from one holistic platform. Genesys encompasses high levels of functionality, exceptional ease of use, graceful redundancy and advanced alarm handling.

The Genesys system works on a network of Windows 7 or Windows 10-compatible PC workstations. These have overall control of all electronic security systems installed at each site.

The Genesys System integrates Harper Chalice’s network system, namely SecureBus. The integration allows for centralised monitoring and control of all of the perimeter intrusion detection systems in the latter’s range.

The SecureBus network not only provides complete control and monitoring of the systems in the field, but also affords live system feedback and the ability to adjust alarm settings and thresholds. This provides better management of the overall security systems as well as helping to reduce maintenance costs through proactive management of the systems.

Harper Chalice’s managing director Chris Hackett said: “This integration is another example of the developments we’re making to our systems. We’re moving forward with integration partnerships to provide our customers with improved functionality and system performance.”

ISM introduces Enterprise version of proven integrated security management system

Intergrated Security Manufacturing (ISM), a leader in the design, development and manufacture of ISMS technology, has just launched an Enterprise version of the company’s proven Genesys integrated security management system (ISMS).

Already deployed within the Critical National Infrastructure sector, the new ISMS offers end users “unparalleled scale, redundancy and ease of use”.

As an enhancement of the existing Genesys2, the Enterprise version has been developed with the largest organisations in mind. Genesys is fully-scalable to manage and control multiple sites from a single Control Room (or even a single workstation) across a country, or even across continents. It features the most advanced levels of encryption to ensure network security, and is accredited to the highest standards of Government national infrastructure security.

Stephen Smith, managing director of ISM, believes that the extension of the Genesys range gives customers greater choice. “There have been a number of articles in the security press talking about PSIM companies starting to develop systems that go beyond the current solutions and moving to a federated architecture. With Genesys, we’re already there. Multiple systems, multiple manufacturers

Crucially, the new development allows the integration of multiple systems from multiple manufacturers – all from one holistic integrated security system. Every electronic security or fire safety device from CCTV and intruder alarms through to electronic locking and Public Address can be monitored and controlled from a single platform, regardless of who made them.

Most importantly, this solution includes the existing Migrating 3+ technology, a patented automatic fail-over technology that adds higher levels of automatic configurable redundancy and power. Control is effectively distributed across multiple workstations.

“We take power to your PC and multiple it by the number of PCs on your network,” added Smith. “What this means is that, if one PC fails, control is migrated to another PC on a seamless basis with no interruption or downtime. Our system isn’t restricted in its performance by the size or capability of a server, and nor does it require the expense of moving to server farms or using clustering software. It means we deliver the most extreme redundancy characteristics for the threats you’ve thought of, not to mention those that you haven’t.”

Continuing this theme, Smith observed: “The Enterprise development within the existing Genesys isn’t a development waiting for a trial site, but rather it has already been installed within a high-security Critical National Infrastructure project. It is tested and proven at the highest level and under the most demanding of conditions and has been very successful.”

Genesys is a ‘true’ ISMS built around intuitive software that combines a range of industry-leading features and benefits including an enhanced graphical user experience, 3D modelling and a comprehensive event management database. Events and alarms are presented to the operator clearly as and when they happen.

The ISMS software operates as a standalone platform over LAN or WAN networks for remote and local sites with workstations that can be transferred to any operating Security Control Room on the network. This offers the end user flexibility when closing down sites or buildings for off-peak or out of normal working hours or in the unlikely event of any system failures.

Qognify and Bosch expand co-operation to deliver “new level” of interoperable security solutions

Qognify, the specialist in Big Data solutions for physical security and operations, has expanded the integration of Bosch network video security cameras and Qognify’s Situator and VisionHub, in turn providing customers with advanced technology and business benefits.

This ‘Best of Breed’ solution creates centralised management for the entire platform with direct integration of Bosch cameras to Situator (Situation Management/PSIM) and VisionHub (Video Management System).

The integration enhances security management and operational benefits by leveraging situation management, video and visualisation capabilities:

*Centralised control and management through Situator Direct integration between Bosch’s network video security cameras and Situator. The integration enables PTZ and PTZ-like control for moving and fixed cameras, automatic triggering of processes when pre-defined incidents occur based on pre-defined alarm rules using cameras’ built-in video analytics, playback via local camera storage and camera tampering detection.

Five key security scenarios for OPTEX’s sensors at IFSEC International 2017

At IFSEC International 2017, sensor manufacturer OPTEX will be exhibiting a range of different products and solutions centred around five key security scenarios from perimeter protection and tailgating detection to Internet of Things (IoT)-based alarm systems.

Within a high security perimeter protection zone, OPTEX will showcase its Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure-approved fibre optic fence detection system. The Fiber Sensys FD-322 Series solution detects intruders climbing or attempting to cut through a fence.

OPTEX’s REDSCAN RLS-3060 can create another layer of security around the perimeter fence to warn if anyone or any vehicle is approaching.

The perimeter intrusion detection systems have been fully integrated with the GEMOS PSIM platform and can trigger video surveillance drones to fly to the point of intrusion and send a live video stream to the Security Control Centre.

In a second zone, OPTEX will be showcasing its time of flight technology, allowing visitors to IFSEC gain a better understanding of its capabilities. This technology allows a scene to be mapped in 3D and give an accurate representation of the objects present. It’s used in Accurance 3D, OPTEX’s tailgating detection system for interlocks, and could also be used for other applications such as object protection.

The award-winning laser scan detector REDSCAN RLS-2020 will also be at the show, with OPTEX representatives demonstrating its ability to protect assets and detect people jumping over turnstiles or climbing through skylights. This solution is already proven in identifying small objects or thrown objects being smuggled into restricted areas.

For both commercial and residential security, OPTEX will be demonstrating its new wireless infrared beam (namely the SL-TNR) that works with universal batteries (CR123) and can be partly hardwired, as well as its new range of pre-built beam towers.

The last zone will include live demonstrations of how OPTEX’s wireless outdoor sensors, including the new VX Shield Series, are ideally suited to IoT applications, sending alarms and other data via the cloud to a smart phone or remote monitoring station.
