Latest Nittan modules further expand capabilities of popular Evolution range

Nittan Europe, the specialist manufacturer of conventional and addressable fire detection products, has announced a series of new interface modules to allow for improved connection of its Evolution range with even more third party equipment than ever before.

The six new interface modules cover a variety of interface applications, including those for door release, sounder control, communication with industrial plant and equipment and non-addressable detectors. There’s also a mini interface module for mounting within other equipment such as fire beam or aspirating detectors.

The main interface modules feature the same uniform design for aesthetic appeal, are all EEPROM-addressed (Programmer) and come complete with short circuit isolators. Many also have mains-rated relay.

The new interface modules were officially launched last month at FIREX International. They were on display at London’s ExCeL along with key Evolution products such as analogue addressable detectors (including the company’s patented, award-winning dual optical technology), audio visual devices, bases, Manual Call Points, isolators and existing modules, plus BS EN 54 Parts 2 and 4-compliant evo+ fire alarm control panels.

A tried-and-tested solution, the Evolution range combines “truly exceptional and reliable” fire detection with a “very high degree of protection” against unwanted false alarms. Its “highly flexible protocol” is resistant to interference and allows for substantial amounts of information to be transmitted at high speed.

Nittan to exhibit UL-approved SPERA fire alarm range at Intersec Dubai 2018

Following on from the company’s successful first attendance at Intersec Dubai in 2017 and with a fast-growing customer base in the region, Nittan Europe – a leading manufacturer of conventional and addressable fire detection products – will be exhibiting at 2018’s show. This takes place at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre on 21 January 2018. Nittan Europe will be located in Hall 4 on Stand G24.

Taking centre stage will be Nittan Europe’s complete UL-approved SPERA analogue addressable fire alarm range. SPERA has been designed with flexibility at the heart of the system. It’s capable of a wide range of system configurations and customisable with an array of modules.

Readily expandable and suitable for a wide range of applications, among them large sites with multiple buildings, SPERA uses an RS-485 interface and accommodates up to 254 addresses per two loops, with a capacity of 14 loops per control panel and up to 63 panels in one network running over copper and/or fibre optics. As a result, up to 224,000 addressable devices can be supported on one SPERA system.

SPERA features a comprehensive range of products, including fire alarm control panels, annunciators (LCD and LED), both addressable and conventional detectors and accessories. The detectors include optical and photo smoke detectors, heat detectors, combined smoke and heat detectors and Nittan’s award-winning dual optical smoke detection technology designed to eliminate false alarms from steam.

In addition to its SPERA range, Nittan Europe will also be showing a comprehensive range of its EN-approved fire alarm devices and panels.

Nittan launches Elite Partner and Elite Distributor programme

Nittan Europe – the UK manufacturer of conventional and addressable fire detection products sold globally – has launched the Nittan Elite Partner and Nittan Elite Distributor programme. The programmes have been developed to acknowledge and reward a select group of installation partners and product distributors that have shown commitment to promoting the Nittan brand and have undertaken product training to a high level in order to ensure the uppermost standards of customer service.

The first companies to be awarded Elite status by Nittan are Fire Technology Ireland in Dublin as an Elite Partner plus EU Fire & Security (Rochdale), Acorn Fire & Security (Blackburn) and Detection Supplies (Fordingbridge) in the Elite Distributor category.  The latter businesses were presented with wall plaques at FIREX International 2017 by Nittan Europe’s managing director Mr Kadokura.

“Nittan has built a reputation for first class fire detection products, but it’s essential to back that up with quality support,” stated Lee James, general manager for product marketing at Nittan Europe.  “Our new Elite programme identifies those installers and distributors who demonstrate loyalty to Nittan and have taken the time to invest in the brand by undertaking rigorous training on the full product range. Given that we’re a manufacturer, our end user contact is minimal. That being so, these customer-facing companies are often the first experience people will have of Nittan so their product knowledge and commitment to Nittan is exceptionally important and deserves to be recognised. The key benefit for Elite members is that we can direct new customer enquiries to them as we know they are a safe pair of hands.”

Nittan will further expand the Elite scheme by monitoring and promoting further installation partners and product distributors to Elite status once key milestones have been achieved.

The launch of the Nittan Elite Partner and Elite Distributor programme is part of the company’s ongoing commitment to providing the best support possible for customers and comes close on the heels of the opening of a new Training Centre at Nittan’s head office in Old Woking, Surrey.

The Nittan Group has been at the forefront of the international fire protection industry since 1954 and has sales, R&D and manufacturing bases in four countries, including the UK.
