LILIN’s megapixel outdoor IP cameras feature edge computing for object counting

LILIN is taking quality and value “to the next level” with the new ZMR8122X-P bullet IP camera. Perfect for outdoor installations, the ZMR8122X-P delivers Full HD 1080p (2 MP) video at up to 30 frames per second (fps), while also offering end users maximum protection against dust, dirt, and water.

On-board Intelligent Video Surveillance (IVS) enables security integrators to tailor the ZMR8122X-P to detect the objects and situations that matter most to the purchasing end user, in turn opening up new possibilities for customised applications.

IVS combines edge-level advanced motion detection, designated Tripwire, that allows a detection line to be drawn within a camera image – Semaphore + Tripwire – when a combination of events need to occur for an alarm to trigger. Object counting enables businesses, for example, to obtain accurate information on the number of people who enter or leave their premises.

To achieve excellent depth of field, the ZMR8122X-P is P-IRIS supported, meaning that it automatically adjusts like an auto iris yet prevents blurred images that can occur when an auto iris over-corrects for bright lights.

With P-IRIS, the camera is the ideal solution for situations where light is constantly and quickly changing, no matter how close or how far the subject is located. True day/night recording is enhanced by infrared LEDs and LILIN’s SenseUp Plus enabling clear night-time images at a distance of up to 115 feet or more.

The ZMR8122X-P bullet IP camera is for those security professionals who require detailed, high-resolution surveillance of challenging locations such as hotels, car parks and loading bays. It’s the latest addition to LILIN’s portfolio of advanced IP video technology engineered to improve ease of use for operators, simplify installation for contractors and deliver stable, high-quality video for end users regardless of lighting conditions to help protect people and facilities.

Built-in I/O ports allow the connection of external devices to help enhance alarm signalling and also enable features such as two-way audio.

Jason Hill joins Board of motion detector specialist GJD Security

GJD Security has hit the ground running in 2019 with the appointment of Jason Hill as the company’s new commercial director. Mark Tibbenham, managing director of GJD, has big plans for the British manufacturer of external motion detectors and LED illuminators and has recruited Hill to help deliver on his aspirations.

Commenting on Hill’s appointment, Tibbenham said: “Even though we were 2017 recipients of the Queens Award for Enterprise (International Trade), there are a significant number of markets where we have no representation. Jason can help us to identify suitable distributors and partners globally. We’re also expanding in the US after opening an office in Los Angeles last year and focusing on the Home Automation market there. Jason is extremely well connected with that sector in North America.”

Tibbenham continued: “Most importantly, GJD has ambitious new product development plans and we need to communicate those effectively to a large potential market. Having worked with Jason over the last few years on a number of projects and partnerships, I felt he was the man we needed to take our business to the next phase.”

Hill himself stated: “It’s very satisfying to be working for a British security manufacturer after all these years in the industry. GJD is growing fast and is already recognised as a UK export success story, but there’s still so much more potential. I will be busy travelling the world to meet new partners and supporting the US operation as it expands. Mark has already done the hard work of enabling the support of GJD products into Home Automation platforms so I need to work on market awareness. Reliable human detection in external applications is in huge demand from end users and we have the technology to deliver that. I have also seen the product roadmap for the next two years and there are some great projects on the horizon.”

Jason joins GJD from Taiwanese surveillance manufacturer LILIN, where he was UK managing director for 20 years and, latterly, Group vice-president. Hill has worked in the security industry since 1990, predominantly with manufacturers.

Founded in 1983, GJD manufactures, designs and supplies professional external detector equipment, as well as infrared and White Light LED illuminators. The company’s head office is located in Heywood, Greater Manchester.

LILIN introduces next generation analogue HD auto focus surveillance cameras for end users

LILIN has announced a major expansion of its surveillance camera family with three new AHD models featuring 1080p/1280H resolution, a remote auto-focus 2.8-8 mm lens and long transmission distances, along with the convenience of three form factors (ie dome, bullet and turret) to fit a variety of applications.

The new remote auto focus AHD products provide a value added offer with the high quality video found in LILIN’s popular IP series with integration into leading automation platforms.

LILINAutoFocusCameras

“We have worked hard in identifying ways to improve the overall installation experience with our HD analogue products,” explained general manager Joe Cook. “Simply mount and aim the camera type that best fits the application then adjust the FOV and fine-tune the focus using AHD UTC communication from the DHD516 Series and other compatible recorders. Our newest AHD cameras allow security installers to maintain the familiarity of analogue video technology while allowing their end users to enjoy the benefits of HD surveillance combined with simplified installation.”

UTC technology allows end users to remotely set up LILIN AHD cameras using compatible UTC recorders, in turn reducing the time taken to do so and eliminating the need for varifocal adjustments at the camera. In addition, the infrared LED automatically activates for image capture in total darkness.

The new AHD652AX2.8 is a small, unobtrusive turret-style dome camera designed for indoor/outdoor use, and especially in low-light areas. The AHD662AX2.8 is a rugged outdoor dome camera featuring IK vandal-resistance protection, a defogging capability and an IP66 weather resistance rating such that it can operate in a wide temperature range from -40°F to 122°F.

The AHD842AX2.8 is a fully-featured bullet camera for both indoor and outdoor use.
