Inner Range issues urgent reminder over ‘End of Life’ system Concept

Inner Range is reminding customers with Concept systems that its stock of parts is rapidly depleting with some items now down to single figures.

The security system designer and manufacturer first announced that its Concept system was nearing End of Life in November 2018. Many customers have migrated easily to Inner Range’s Integriti product at only a fraction of the cost of an entire system replacement.

However, the company remains concerned some customers have not yet migrated and may find themselves in a difficult situation when replacements are required if parts have become obsolete.

Tim Northwood, general manager at Inner Range, said: “We want to support our customers as much as we possibly can, but the reality is that, very soon, we will not have replacement parts available. For some items, we’re already close to stock exhaustion.”

He added: “Our technical support team will continue to try to assist customers, but there’s a risk we might not be able to supply service replacements in the near future. Ultimately, that could put people and locations at risk if their security system isn’t functioning properly.”

In conclusion, Northwood said: “We are now urging any remaining Concept customers to migrate to Integriti, which is easy, efficient and extremely cost-effective and will secure their system for the longer term.”

Straightforward process

Inner Range’s award-winning Integriti system is compatible with 95% of Concept hardware so migrating is very straight forward and cost-effective.

Integriti is ideal for managing and controlling single and multiple sites at the local, national and global levels. Benefits for Concept users migrating to Integriti include more integrations with current manufacturers for security, building automation, people and business continuity processes, enhanced graphics and reporting, more flexibility around global programming and permissions as well as being compatible with current and future IT platforms (such as Windows and Vista).

Concept 2000 was Inner Range’s flagship product and first launched in 1989. It was designed by three of the four founders of Inner Range: Doug Frazer, David Baughan and Alan Winch.

The system was updated to the Concept 3000 and later the Concept 4000, which have been installed around the globe. However, the system’s underlying technology is no longer economical to maintain in comparison with modern platforms like Integriti.

Drone give-away by Inner Range at IFSEC International 2019

Access control solutions developer Inner Range will be rewarding lucky visitors to its stand with a drone on every day of this year’s IFSEC International, which runs at London’s ExCeL from Tuesday 18 until Thursday 20 June.

Delegates who watch a demonstration of an Inner Range product will be invited to enter their details into the manufacturer’s flagship product, Integriti, and the system will randomly select a winner at the end of each day.

Winners will receive a Holy Stone Mercury 3 racing drone, which can travel at 45 km per hour and transmit HD video and aerial photos in real-time. The camera, which has a 120-degree wide-angle lens, is easy to install or remove, while the drone is designed to reduce wind resistance for more stable filming conditions.

Inner Range has two demonstrations linked to IFSEC’s official ‘Show Me How’ series of presentations and trials. The first showcases how Inner Range’s entry-level access control system, Inception, can now integrate with the Milestone XProtect video management system. The integration allows the Inception controller to become the security and access mechanism supporting the Milestone system.

Inner Range’s enterprise-level intelligent integrated access control system, Integriti, will also feature in the ‘Show Me How’ series. Delegates can see how ‘user qualifications’ can boost Health and Safety procedures, or ease car park credit renewals by alerting users when qualifications or credits are about to expire.

Tim Northwood, general manager at Inner Range, said: “We love showing what our products can do and will happily demonstrate any aspect of our systems that people are curious about. To add an element of fun, anyone who has had a demonstration can enter our prize draw to win a racing drone. IFSEC is full of technology enthusiasts and drones are the latest gadget, whether people use them for serious business purposes or fly them just for fun. We hope delegates will like them.”

Inner Range’s Stand IF1030 will include eight large screens to demonstrate the manufacturer’s access control systems and software in action.

Inner Range set to showcase new Mimic Viewer at International Security Expo

Access control solutions developer Inner Range will showcase a new Mimic Viewer for its award-winning Integriti product at the International Security Expo, which takes place in London later this month.

The Mimic Viewer provides a visual ‘read only’ overview of the intelligent Integriti access control and intruder detection system. It allows security staff to view events remotely without passing control of the system off-site.

The Mimic Viewer is a separate installation with its own connection to the controller, which can be Ethernet-based or via the UniBus UART board. This is helpful for those sites that don’t allow networked computers to be left logged in and unattended, or in the case of a network failure.

Tim Northwood, general manager of Inner Range, said: “Mimic panels are a fantastic way of providing a visual overview of a system, allowing rapid comprehension of a situation and response when an emergency occurs. Our Mimic Viewer has the added benefit of being separate from any network, so it will maintain its connection whatever the network status and ensure better levels of security as a result.”

Northwood added: “The International Security Expo is always a great event for showing new and existing customers what our products can do. We’ll be allowing delegates to try out our enterprise and high security products for themselves.”

Inner Range will be offering demonstrations of its scalable enterprise access control system, Integriti, as well as the Integriti High Security Encrypted solution and the Sifer reading technology, MIFARE DESfire EV2. Stand J30 is where Risk Xtra’s readers can find the company at London’s Olympia.

It integrates with a wide range of third party systems to become a Physical Security Information Management system, managing not only security and building automation, but also people and business continuity processes such as HR, payroll and Health and Safety.

Integriti Encrypted High Security has all the award-winning features of Integriti with complete end-to-end encryption to 128 bit AES and Mac authentication. It suits defence, Government and other Critical National Infrastructure organisations who need watertight security for counter-terror purposes or other high risk scenarios.
