Military grade perimeter detection solution to be showcased by CLD Fencing Systems at IFSEC International

CLD Fencing Systems, the UK supplier of rigid mesh fencing systems and security gates, will be debuting a state-of-the-art military grade perimeter detection system in the form of the SV5000 at IFSEC International 2017. Designed to offer a fully-autonomous PTZ camera with wireless detection, the system is powered by solar energy allowing rapid deployment to the most remote locations around the world.

With the ability to push video to any Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) globally on detection of a threat, the system can also pull video on demand to any Android or iOS device via a dedicated app. This feature means that the system can sleep and save battery power until a detection occurs.

Once ‘awakened’, it the sends all communication across a fully-encrypted GSM WAN network thanks to its bespoke point-to-point encrypted network and military-based compression. This is in opposition to standard systems that have to rely on data-heavy TCP IP backbones.

The system requires no hard-wired power or communication network and offers a highly cost-effective detection system that can be integrated and placed alongside existing networks. With the ability to be mounted on either a permanent post, building, fence line or via CLDs FenceSafe temporary fencing solution, the SV5000 perimeter detection system is said to offer a ‘first’ for the protection of estates and assets.

“TDSi is committed to educating the security market,” urged Davies, “so it makes perfect sense that we’re partnering with our good friends at Tavcom and sponsoring the Tavcom Theatre [Stand B1250] this year. We’re also looking forward to engaging with an audience of security professionals and consumers to discuss key trends and look at some of the exciting developments in the security sphere which are shaping its future and, indeed, already having a profound effect.”

Synopses of the presentations

‘Enhancing Security and Reducing Installation Time and Hassle with Wireless Locking’

Wireless solutions are revolutionising the installation, administration and operation of physical security and access control systems. In this seminar, TDSi and Darren Gill from ASSA Abloy will demonstrate the considerable benefits of using wireless locking systems to effectively enhance any integrated security system.

‘The Future of Open Platforms’

TDSi along with Jarod Booth (regional security manager at Anixter) will discuss the impact of open platform systems and the benefits of ONVIF compliance, as well as answering questions from the floor, in turn addressing queries and concerns from the wider security industry.

‘The Benefits of Combining Physical and Cyber Security in the Cloud’

Cloud-hosted security systems offer greater flexibility, convenience and control while at the same time maintaining the highest levels of protection. TDSi will showcase how Cloud hosting of systems benefits security operators and installers by offering the ideal solution at the right cost.

Alongside the programme of seminars and panel debates, TDSi will be running its own Technology Showcase. This will include live demonstrations for the company’s customers and partners. Additionally, TDSi’s systems will be on display on its distribution partner Anixter’s Stand (D1050), while TDSi’s EXgarde security software and controllers will be part of the display on the Suprema Stand (D1400), both of which are in the main hall at London’s ExCeL.

Five key security scenarios for OPTEX’s sensors at IFSEC International 2017

At IFSEC International 2017, sensor manufacturer OPTEX will be exhibiting a range of different products and solutions centred around five key security scenarios from perimeter protection and tailgating detection to Internet of Things (IoT)-based alarm systems.

Within a high security perimeter protection zone, OPTEX will showcase its Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure-approved fibre optic fence detection system. The Fiber Sensys FD-322 Series solution detects intruders climbing or attempting to cut through a fence.

OPTEX’s REDSCAN RLS-3060 can create another layer of security around the perimeter fence to warn if anyone or any vehicle is approaching.

The perimeter intrusion detection systems have been fully integrated with the GEMOS PSIM platform and can trigger video surveillance drones to fly to the point of intrusion and send a live video stream to the Security Control Centre.

OPTEXRedscanIFSEC2017

In a second zone, OPTEX will be showcasing its time of flight technology, allowing visitors to IFSEC gain a better understanding of its capabilities. This technology allows a scene to be mapped in 3D and give an accurate representation of the objects present. It’s used in Accurance 3D, OPTEX’s tailgating detection system for interlocks, and could also be used for other applications such as object protection.

The award-winning laser scan detector REDSCAN RLS-2020 will also be at the show, with OPTEX representatives demonstrating its ability to protect assets and detect people jumping over turnstiles or climbing through skylights. This solution is already proven in identifying small objects or thrown objects being smuggled into restricted areas.

For both commercial and residential security, OPTEX will be demonstrating its new wireless infrared beam (namely the SL-TNR) that works with universal batteries (CR123) and can be partly hardwired, as well as its new range of pre-built beam towers.

OPTEXStoryPanelIFSEC2017

The last zone will include live demonstrations of how OPTEX’s wireless outdoor sensors, including the new VX Shield Series, are ideally suited to IoT applications, sending alarms and other data via the cloud to a smart phone or remote monitoring station.

Jacques Vaarre, managing director of OPTEX, stated: “We feel that the live demonstration route is the best way to show the range of applications that can be achieved with our sensors. In addition to exhibiting at IFSEC International 2017, we’ll also be making presentations in the Borders and Infrastructure and Security Management Theatres to discuss innovations around access control systems and deliver Case Studies focused on protecting critical infrastructure against intrusion.”

Inner Range to unveil Integriti Encrypted High Security integrated access control and security system at IFSEC International 2017

We live in an era where criminal activity has become more sophisticated and information about system hacking more readily available. With organisations being more vulnerable to attack, access control and security system manufacturer Inner Range is addressing the challenge for the security industry by adding another system to its already strong portfolio: Integriti Encrypted High Security.

Launching at IFSEC International 2017, Inner Range’s Integriti Encrypted High Security is an integrated access control and security system offering the pioneering integrated security and building management functionality of its flagship brand Integriti, but with the added advantage of being end-to-end fully encrypted to 128 bit with Mac authentication. Data encryption ensures secure LAN communications at all times, while continuous monitoring detects any fault or attempted module substation.

Chantel Smith, business development manager at Inner Range Europe, commented: “Integriti Encrypted High Security delivers end-to-end full encryption, which is essential for buildings and facilities that are of critical importance to national infrastructure and for Data Centres and research labs where there’s a heightened security risk.”

Smith continued: “Equally, we’re experiencing an increase in demand for systems from organisations big and small that don’t necessarily need end-to-end encryption to meet regulatory requirements, but understand the importance of adding an extra layer of protection for their buildings.”

InnerRangeIntegritiHighSecurity The Integriti Encrypted High Security system comprises a suite of products which together offer all the elements necessary to build a fully-integrated high security system that provides complete end-to-end data encryption. The Integriti range of products includes controllers, input expansion modules, end of line modules, keypads, card readers, power supplies and equipment enclosures.

The system’s modular design delivers scope for expansion while also boasting hybrid architecture which supports both high security and standard commercial grade (resistor network) areas at the same facility at the same time. The end result is a single, holistic and affordable security solution for the entire organisation.

Expansion of the Integriti system is achieved by installing additional encrypted modules to the high security controller’s RS-485 LAN or adding additional controllers to the system. The entire platform, including multiple controllers, can be managed from the Integriti Enterprise software.
