SSR Personnel – the largest recruitment consultancy dedicated to the security, fire, health and safety sectors and presently operating in 20 countries – has announced the date for its 2017 Charity Gold Day. The event – which this year runs in support of Embrace (www.embracecvoc.org.uk), the charity actively supporting child victims of crime – takes place on Monday 25 September at the Bentley Golf Club in Brentwood, Essex.
Bentley Golf Club was established in 1972 designed by the Swan Family. Purchased by the Members in 2004, it’s now ranked as one of the premier golf clubs in the county. Bentley continues to host a number of county-focused golfing events (including the Essex County Championship) and is also a regular venue for the Essex Captains.
The course has attained a silver ranking in the HSBC regional course rankings and is laid out over an undulating terrain that has a wealth of mature, mixed species trees with many water features. The course itself extends to 6,703 yards (Par 72). Hole 16 is the ‘signature hole’ and is a Par 4 with an acute dog-leg to the right.
The price for those who wish to take part will be £75 per individual player, with a concession for four-balls booked at £260.
Following the golf there will be a three-course meal, prize-giving and an auction that will take place from 3.30 pm. Meal only tickets will be available. SSR Personnel welcomes auction or raffle prizes to ensure that as much money as possible is raised for Embrace and the child victims of crime.
Embrace is a charity that helps to take away the hurt, relieve poverty, sickness, trauma and distress arising among children, resident in the UK, who have suffered as a result of any criminal offence and promotes children’s education, health and welfare; encourages their social inclusion and community involvement and actively seeks to develop their personal safety.
